Public Typography: Dying Light

The goal of this project was to go out into the real world and find type that already existed, cataloguing it to show the design which is all around us. I chose to examine the type that is found on headstones in graveyards, adding to those images a series of musings on what is shown. The book covers three graveyards, all photographed at different times of the day as the images grow darker and darker. By the end, night has fallen and the sunny start is nothing but a distant memory.
